and I feel 'finito'too.

This has been a hard eight weeks. Not enough

time given to always work on Things.

Were there any take-aways or unexpected outcomes from this program that surprised you?

I was surprised by the amount of technology that is out there and that I had no idea about. I have learned a great deal and 'honed my skills'

What could we do differently to improve upon this program’s format or concept?

I think it would be improved if it were broken down to maybe 10 Things at a time.
It is overwhelming, with our desk and research work to fit the time in.
I worked many hours at home

And last but not least…
If we offered another discovery program like this in the future, would you again chose to participate?

I would love to participate in another such trial.
I am going to retrace the 30 Things and enjoy them more this time.
I am also searching help from others.

THING 29

This has been quite a learning experience.
Having worked thru' all the things I end up
feeling that I have had quite a learning experience.
There is so much more in here to learn and so much stuff
that is, or will be great fun. I just need to re-do it all,
in my own time, and I will MASTER it!

Have been looking at Rollyo. Have tried to set one up. TruBrit....

but have not mastered it yet. Will play with it again later.

I did return to set one up but....am not really making it work for me.

LIBRARY THING

Enjoyed this 'thing'. Found it fascinating to be able to

just put in a title and be able to find great  information and 

pictured covers of books.

Signed up to join  Library Thing and have added some old

favorites, which bring back many  childhood memories.

Have read all about Youtube and Podcasting.

Have checked out podcasts and have opened

an account in Podnova. As yet am not sure

how to use it, but will learn.

I love this video. It has been a sad favorite of

mine for many years. we really need to do something

about homeless pets. Then the words of the song, and

the voice of the singer, Clay Aiken, add to the beauty

 of this video

I am intrigued by Montager.
Cannot wait to download photographs
and attempt to make my own.
Need to study the whole flicker thing much more to
be able to utilize it properly.

Explored Flickr . This is interesting and am looking
forward to using this and posting pictures. I set up and account and
will also set one up om my MAC at home.
There are so many great pictures posted and many sites to visit.

Explored sites from Web2 Awards list.
Chose Social networking and then Facebook.
It is a fun site and is really not geared for library or
information needs.
Has interesting 'Scrabulous' where many staff members
are challenging others to games of Scrabble. Great for the
mind and vocabulary.

Learning about Technorati and how tags are made. I guess it is interesting
but too time consuming to study firther. Will revist later.

Today we tackle Reader's Advisory
I did not think it was very easy to post my addition to the
staff book list. But having succeeded I added Good Night, Mr. Tom,
one of my all time favorite books.
I do like the booklists and added blogs

Thing 16

Here we learn about Myspace and Facebook. Myspace has
really taken off with the younger generation. I can see that if we
did have a VBPL social network it could be useful in spreading
library news and information.But I do not think we have to converse
with the students, unless it is strictly library related, or reference
information. No social chatting.
I have had a MySpace account for several years, but I do not put too
much personal information there.

I have had a MYSpace for several years. I must admit I
had not used it very much. I do have several blogs that I use to download
music.
I also do subscribe to Facebook. But again do not post often. Just the odd YOUTUBES.
and of course to play Scrable!!
